Noah Verdin of Dallas Covenant Christian is not only one of TAPPS' top harriers in 2025, but he's also one of the best in the state of Texas. A junior, Verdin has a 5K PR of 15:30, almost two minutes less than his freshman PR of 17:23.
Most intriguingly, Verdin is the current heartbeat of a metaphorical body that keeps growing, now entering its third generation of boys' cross-country runners. To clarify, the Dallas Covenant boys XC team is shooting for its 10th consecutive state title.

Generation after generation and now into the third generation, they just keep winning.
Credit the culture Coach Golden has produced; he's now a pseudo extension of the coach - he leads and helps "drag" the new runners into distances they never could've imagined.
