Addyson Bristow has cemented her place as one of Texas high school cross country's top distance runners. On Saturday at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, the Canyon senior stormed to her third consecutive UIL 4A individual cross country state championship, clocking a dominant 10:38.7 over the 2-mile course. From the gun, Bristow made her intentions clear, opening hard, stretching the field early, and never looking back. It was her fastest state meet performance yet, bettering her 2024 winning time of 10:43 and her 2023 title mark of 11:08.
With this three-peat, she joins an elite list of UIL legends like Macy Wingard (6A) and others who sit just behind the record-setting four-title haul of 1A star Taytum Goodman (2021-2024).
Her 2025 season was a masterpiece of consistency and dominance. Bristow won every race she entered, including a blistering 16:44.04 5K at the Amarillo ISD Invitational and multiple sub-11:00 2-mile efforts, capped off by her title-clinching state performance.

She opened her senior year with a win at Boomtown in 17:51, then dropped times like 10:37.79 at district and 10:55.90 at regionals, showing she was peaking exactly when it mattered. And beyond the individual success, Bristow has also been the anchor of Canyon's powerhouse team, leading them to back-to-back UIL team championships in 2023 and 2024.
Bristow's journey is all the more remarkable considering her freshman state debut in 2022, where she placed 51st in 12:47. She used that experience as fuel, improving each year and rising to the top of the sport. On the track, she's just as lethal: a two-time 800m state champion (2:06.64 PR), a 1600m contender with a best of 4:44.43, and she ran 10:14.99 for 3200m at the prestigious Texas Relays. While she has yet to publicly commit to a college, she's a lock as a Division I recruit and a national-caliber middle-distance runner.
Addyson Bristow's name now lives in UIL lore, a three-time state champion, team leader, and one of the fastest girls ever to come through Canyon, and that is saying a lot. And with track season still ahead, her story isn't finished yet.
