Eleanor Kazanjian competes at the 2025 Texas High School Indoor Championships

The 2026 Texas high school indoor track and field season is shaping up to be another very competitive indoor season, yet the girls' 60-meter hurdles are fueled by a deep group of proven returners and powerhouse training groups that have elevated the event statewide.

Leading the way is Naomi Booker, who clocked an impressive 8.54 in 2025 and enters the season as an indoor national championship contender after finishing second at the Texas High School Indoor Championships. Matching that time nationally is Eleanor "Jellybean" Kazanjian, the rising Kingsville sophomore whose 8.54 at Nike Indoor Nationals signals even more upside heading into 2026.
