Emily Koenig won her first collegiate race at the MSU Mustang Stampede. Her 14:31 4k was good enough to win by 8 seconds. Emily competed for Little River Academy in HS. At the UIL State Meet last year Emily won the 3200m and placed 2nd in the 1600m.
Up next for the Mavericks is the UT Arlington Season Opener on Saturday, Sept. 11 at Vandergriff Park.
