Cross Country No. 2 In Region

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Head Coach Chris Woods' cross country teams have continued to enjoy success this fall moving to No. 20 in the USTFCCCA Poll released this week. The Wildcats also jumped to No. 2 in the South Central region as released by the association Wednesday.
ACU moves to No. 20 nationally after walking away with an unprecedented 20th consecutive Lone Star Conference Championship on Saturday. Senior Amos Sang took home his second straight individual title helping vault the Wildcats back into the national rankings.
In the South Central Regional Rankings released this week, the final rankings until next weeks' regional meet, have ACU at No.2. The Wildcats move up behind Central Missouri who will host next week's regional after sitting at No. 4 the previous week.
Sitting at No. 3 is last year's Regional Champion Missouri Southern followed by LSC runner-up Eastern New Mexico at No. 4. Northwest Missouri rounds out the top five.
The Wildcats will run at the South Central Regional in Warrensburg, Missouri Saturday, November 20. Keth Memorial Golf Course and Central Missouri will host the meet with the men scheduled to run at 10:30 a.m. followed by the women at 11:30 a.m.
