Williams hit the automatic qualifying mark on the nose, jumping 24 feet, 9.0 inches to win the event at the last-chance qualifying meet.  The championship field in every event will be revealed Tuesday (May 17) with the championships set for May 26-28 in Turlock, Calif., on the campus of the University of California-Stanislaus.

Junior Nick Jones, a two-time national champion in the discus, unleashed a career-best throw of 198 feet, 7 inches Thursday night to win the discus competition, bettering his nation-best and automatic qualifying mark.

Teammate Tyler Fleet was second at 165-10, bettering his provisional status.
