Lofton Named Tops in DII

NEW ORLEANS, La. – On Friday Roosevelt Lofton was named NCAA Division II Coach of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association after helping lead ACU to a sweep of Indoor and Outdoor Men's National Championships.
The Wildcats won their first outdoor title since 2008 as ACU was ranked No. 1 during the entire outdoor season by the USTFCCCA. It was also the first time since 2005 that the Wildcats have taken both the indoor and outdoor crowns in the same season and the 10th time overall. An incredible run from ACU's “Fab Four” who scored 60 points during last weeks' national championships helped the Wildcats lay claim to their 19th outdoor team title. ACU also picked up their 18th consecutive Lone Star Conference Championship.
