Round Rock sweeps team titles at Cedar Park Invite

The first cool day of the fall, 77 degrees, greeted runners at the Cedar Park XC Invitational, and Round Rock made the most of it, sweeping both large-school team titles behind a big inflatable timberwolf and ATX Timing's clock.

The boys' race up front was a duel. Leo Brasil of Round Rock and Georgetown East View's Kingston Wilson took it out in a blazing 4:50 first mile, and after the tough second mile that winds back into the woods, it came down to one of the best finishes of the season between Brasil and 2025 TAPPS state champion John Boland of San Antonio Antonian. Brasil won it in 15:37, Boland second in 15:37, separated by a few hundredths. Wilson held on for third in 16:14.

Round Rock's team win rode on depth. Behind Brasil's victory, they packed four scorers in with finishers 11th, 12th, 13th, and 17th to total 54 points, ahead of Georgetown East View's 76. San Antonio Antonian was third with 129.
