UT verbal commit Daniel Vertiz pulled away late from a game Marcos Vallejo to win the McNeil Meet in 15:00.40 on a beautiful Saturday morning at Old Setter's Park, whcih is the site of the UIL State Meet in November. Vertiz and Vallejo were stride for stride until about 250m than right before the final hill Vertiz pulled away.
McKinney Boyd dominated the boys race with an impressive 16:11 average.
