The 2018 season saw some of the deepest and quality hurdling in years on both the boys and girls sides.

Texas graduated some of the best girls hurdlers EVER in each of the last 2-3 years. That makes the expectations very high every year. That may be the key to the hurdle explosion we saw this year.

There were four girls 14.0 and under 100H and so many sub 44.0 hurdlers. It wasn't just UIL 4A, 5A, and 6A hurdlers, but the UIL 1A-3A hurdlers as well as SPC and TAPPS hurdlers were also on fire.

The boys saw one of the most promising seasons that had the best hurdler in the world go down to injury during the indoor season and other top hurdlers not even run outdoors for their team.

That didn't stop the show.

The cream clearly rose to the top proving there was a lot of cream this year. There were nine guys who ran 13s and 37s. In fact, there were two guys who ran 13 mid in the 110s and 36 in the 300s.
