2018 Region 1-6A girls 4x200 finals

The 2019 outdoor track and field season will start off with some high expectations for the 4x200m relays after the results from the the 2018 UIL state meet.

There were nine boys teams that ran under 1:25.00 at the state meet and three teams ran sub 1:24.00. Those three times were a National Record by The Woodlands (1:23.25), third All-Time best Katy Seven Lakes (1:23.42), and the fifth All-Time best by Converse Judson (1:23.58).

On the girls side, we saw five of the fastest teams in the nation throw down at the state meet. Duncanville dropped the nation's #1 (1:35.05), Fort Bend Hightower went #2 (1:35.78), DeSoto went #6, (1:35.92), and Alief Elsik (1:36.74), and Mansfield Lake Ridge (1:37.11) also ran top 10 races.

That leaves a tough act for the 2019 season to follow, but if it can be done, it can be done here in Texas. Check out the links and see which girls and boys teams could provide that big follow up to last year's epic state meet.
