Matthew Boling and Marquise Goodwin converse after Boling's long jump and 100m outstanding display on Goodwin's old stomping grounds (UT)
Its hard to find two athletes who are similar enough to compare. This comparison is about as good and close as you can get to having a quality comparison. The only thing is that the two athletes are from two different eras.
Matthew Boling is getting mad love and headlines based on the things he is doing. His long jump has taken off this season in the few jump competitions that he has competed in. That big improvement can be attributed somewhat to his speed marks. He has been running the 400m over much of his career. Last year, he added up the 200m to his load and now the 100m within the last three weeks.
Marquise Goodwin, a graduate of Rowlett and the University of Texas was a high school and college All-American and successfully mixed jumping pro with his pro football career. At Rowlett, Goodwin just about perfected the 100m and long jump events winning state championships in both.
At the Texas Relays, Goodwin had a chance to converse with Boling after his 100m finals competition. The two shared an embrace and some words, now you can see how they stack up in each of their high school years.
