Winning cross country tradition motivates Cy Woods ALEX ALDACO Sep 18, 2013

The Cypress Woods cross country team returned to the state meet for the second consecutive season last year, despite losing star harrier Craig Nowak, who won the Class 5A state championship in 2011. The Wildcats are trying to maintain that lifestyle this year without two more key runners who helped return the team to Austin, where they finished a disappointing 12th Connor Hanson and Harry Krantz. Foster placed seventh (16:03.20) and Austin 44th (16:52.55). "[...] far into the season, I am happy with our performances individually," Zarate said. (via Houston Chronicle)
