You and your teams are invited to the 11th Annual Ken Garland / Northwest High School Invitational Cross
Country Meet. We have several different divisions to compete in as well as a Little Texan one mile race & community 5K
for any other competitors interested. We hope to attract some of the finest High School competition around and your
athletes will also have the opportunity to watch the University races. Please consider us as you are working on your 2017
schedule. Space will be limited so please confirm your teams spot at joshua.c.allen@nisdtx.org

Rolling Schedule: 7:30a.m.: 1. Varsity Girls (5k) (10 runners per school)
2. Varsity Boys (5k) (10 runners per school)
3. Mens Collegiate 4 Mile (Unlimited Runners)
4. University College Women (5k) (Unlimited Runners)
5. JV/Varsity Girls 4A&Under (3200m) (Unlimited Small School Runners)
6. Junior Varsity Girls (5k) (Unlimited runners)
7. Junior Varsity Boys (5k) (Unlimited runners)
8. Little Texan Mile & UNT Community 5K
Registration: Please e-mail ASAP joshua.c.allen@nisdtx.org to assure a HS spot. If you do not email to
verify your attendance you will not be able to register online. Online registration is due Thursday,
September 14 by 4pm. Packet pick-up will begin at 6:30 a.m. on race day. (You must have e-mail
confirmation from Coach Allen before you attempt to enter.) Detailed information will be e-mailed
to all participating schools a few weeks before the meet.

Fees: HS/MS $100 per team ($400max)
Little Texan Mile $5 per person (register at meet / checks payable to Northwest High School)
Community 5K $15 per person (register at meet / checks payable UNT Cross Country)

This meet is using free online registration at Athletic.net!
Athletic.net is a resource for Track & Field and Cross Country coaches, offering free statistic
tracking, easy meet registrations, free meet managers, and free tools to simplify common coaching
tasks.
Follow the 4 steps below to get started:
1. Sign up for a free coach account (if you do not have one)
Go to the website: www.athletic.net
Click on 'Log In' in the upper right hand corner, and then click 'Sign Up' on the bottom of that
screen.
Complete the signup wizard
After receiving the confirmation email, go on to #2
2. Add meets to your season calendar
Log In to Athletic.net
Navigate to your team home by clicking your name in the upper right hand corner to open the side
menu, and then the home icon next to the appropriate team.
Click "Add Meet" above your calendar box
Where it says "Meet ID:" enter 131217 and click Add
Repeat this process for the rest of your season calendar (You can also add meets by date, if you
don't know the Meet ID)
Verify that your calendar is correct. Click on a Meet, then the pencil icon to make corrections to a
meet, or use the trash can icon to delete a meet.
3. Enter team roster
Open the side menu by clicking on your name.
Click on your team and then click Edit Athletes from the list of links for your team.
Add athletes to the roster manually, or upload your roster using the "Upload Athlete Roster"
4. Register athletes for Ken Garland Invitational
Locate Ken Garland Invitational on your team's main Cross Country page and click on it
Click "Register Athletes"
Follow instructions on the meet registration page to enter your athletes into the appropriate
division(s).
Use the "Add an athlete" buttons to add athletes to your roster if needed.
You can freely use this meet registration feature of Athletic.net for all your meets. The host team can
download them from the website for free.
