49 th Annual KLEIN ISD RELAYS 2019

Dear Coach:

Klein Oak High School and Klein I.S.D. would like to invite you and your team to the

2019 Klein I.S.D. Relays. Below you will find information concerning the meet.

Meet Date: Saturday, March 23, 2019

Site: Klein Memorial Stadium on the campus of Klein High School. It is located at the

corner of Louetta and Steubner Airline.

Entries: Entries will be submitted via txmilesplit.  Entries will open on March 11, 2019 and will close

Wednesday March 20, 2019 at 5pm

Entry Fee: The entry fee for those schools in the Athletic Directors Agreement will be

$50.00 per team. For those schools not in the Athletic Directors Agreement, the entry

fee will be $150.00 or equal to the fee charged at your meet attended by a Klein ISD

High School. Please send checks to Klein Oak High School C/O Andress Andrepont,

Timing: Fully automatic timing will be utilized.

Scoring: We will score the top 8 places

Individual Events 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

Relays 20, 16, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2

Awards: Medals to the top 3 finishers in each event.

A team championship clock will be presented to the team winner in each


Coaches/ Scratch Meeting: A coaches/ scratch meeting will be held at 8:00 am in the

District Athletic building on the north end of the track. At this time, only scratch and

replacements will be made no additions. Field passes will be distributed, which will

allow entrance to the field and as a ticket to your meal. Please send the number of

coaches and administrators that will be attending. NO PARENTS OR CLUB COACHES

are to receive a field pass.

Relays: No tape or tennis balls will be allowed on the track. Rubber markers will be

SMR (200-200-400-800) we will utilize the 4x2 zones for the first two

exchanges and the 400m runners will break at the 300m mark coming down the home

Running Events: 1 st Session (All Finals)

9:30 AM 4x1600 Relay - Girls followed by Boys

11:00 AM SMR (200-200-400-800) Girls followed by Boys

11:30 AM Shuttle Hurdle Relay Girls followed by Boys

12:00 PM 3200 Run- Section 2 (slower section if needed) Girls Followed by Boys

12:00 PM Coaches Meal

FINALS to begin 1 hour after completion of Field Events, exclusive of Pole Vault.
