Dear Coaches --
Woodlands Christian is hosting an early season cross country meet on Saturday, August 24th for both high school and middle school teams and we would love for you to join us!
More information to come as we get closer to the meet, but this is the tentative schedule (with rolling approximate start times). We have a great course (soft surface the entire course) and the use of the Jones State Forest behind our campus. Note: We are also making use of 4 separate distances for schools to adjust since it will be early in the training season.
7:30 AM Check in and walk the course
8:30 AM Varsity Boys (5000 meters) - Limit to 10 runners
********* Varsity Girls (3200 meters) - Limit to 10 runners
********* JV Boys (3200 meters)
********* JV Girls (2400 meters)
Approx 10:00 AM Middle School Boys Division I (2400 meters) (Top 10 runners)
********* MS Girls Division I (2400 meters) (Top 10 runners)
********* MS Boys Division II (1600 meters)
********* MS Girls Division II (1600 meters)
Entry Fee: High School - $100 per varsity team, $75 per JV team (or $15 per individual runner). Middle School - $75 per team per division (or $15 per individual runner). Max entry fee for any school is $400. **Please complete your athlete entries by noon on Tuesday, Aug 20
Directions: I-45 to FM 242 (College Park Drive). Go West approximately 1.8 miles to 5800 Academy Way. Bus parking and general parking are available at Crossroads Baptist church.
Payment: Please note that payment is due when you pick up your athlete information packets.
Course: The course is mostly grass or dirt. We are utilizing the Jones State Forest behind our campus as well as running on our campus. Course maps will be included in your packets with bib numbers and pins.
Awards: Varsity: 15 individual medals; 2 team plaques
JV: 10 individual medals; 1 team plaque
Middle school (both divisions): 15 individual medals; 1 team plaque
