I would like to First say, Its Been a Good Season & Hope its an Even GREATER Finish! to you all this 2019 XC Season. Here is Our Official Invitation Letter to You and Your Runners for our 2019 CISD District JHS XC Meet, hosted by the Washington Junior High School Bulldogs. I am truly elated that you thought enough of myself to take this Adventure on, and provide you with a Meet of Quality, and as close to Great as I could get it #NoPRESSURE!
Our District Cross-Country Meet will be on Friday, October 18, 2019 at:
The Bear Branch Sports Complex

Coaches, when you drive into the parking lot of the complex, you will drop your athletes and equipment off to get setup in the front parking lot by the Pavilion. All 7 Schools will setup tents/camp in that parking lot. There will not be any setup sites on the fields. Please stress this to your athletes, and parents who will attend for this years meet. Runners will be able to warm-up before the meet begins at 4:30, and at the Starting Line before their race. Coaches, once you have dropped off your athletes and equipment, you will drive to The Woodlands High School Parking Lot to Park your bus. There is a game going on for them that Friday, and Principal Landry has informed me to have you park in the Northwest Parking lot closest to the corner of Research Forest Drive and Millennium Dr. I will have Shuttle Vehicles to bring you back to the Sports Complex!
A Course Map of the Complex Soccer Fields is included for you and your athletes to view and familiarize yourself with the layout. We will have signs on the course for the runners, and 14 Stations throughout the course were Meet Workers will be posted to make sure ALL runners DO NOT get tangled or twisted up...
I am asking that each school bring Two Extra Coaches/Adult Volunteers to be positioned at 2 of the 14 Spots on the course. XC Coaches, if you will have your 2 Workers wear a School Shirt/Colors, so we all know who will be at their assigned duty post for the duration of the meet.
Assignments are as follows for the Course Workers:
1) Irons JHS: Positions 1 & 2
2) Knox JHS: Positions 3 & 4
3) McCullough JHS: Positions 5 & 6
4) Moorhead JHS: Positions 7 & 8
5) Peet JHS: Positions 9 & 10
6) Washington JHS: Positions 11 & 12
7) York JHS: Positions 13 & 14
Medals will be awarded to the Top 10 runners in each of the Scored Division (except the open race). There will only be 7 entries per school in the First 4 Scored Divisions. Runners competing in the Medaled Divisions will be those Athletes that you will register on the Mile Split Website. All other athletes will run in the 2-Open Races at the conclusion of the 8th Grade Boys Division. Coaches/Assistants, Please have your runners in the 2-Open Races to bring you the card that they will receive when finishing. You will then write your athletes NAME & SCHOOL on the place card. Once all of your runners have finished and their cards are in the envelope provided to you, Please turn those in to the Hospitality Station. We will send those times out to you on Monday in a Shared Google Sheet for your record keeping. You do not have to worry about any timing at all this year. Enjoy the meet and Coach your athletes! We will have a timer for the 2-Open Races. *There will be an Awards Ceremony to announce the TOP 10 Runners of each Division, and Team Totals to award our 3rd, 2nd, and 1st Place 2019 District JHS XC Champions in each Medaled Division. The TOP 10 Runners will receive a Card that they will keep until it is time for the Awards Ceremony. At that time when they come up to receive their Medal, they will give the card to the Worker who will place their medal on them. They will then line up in front of everyone for Pictures. The Team Point Totals and Winners for that Division will then be announced beginning with 3rd Place, then 2nd Place, and 1st Place last to announce the 2019 CISD Junior High District XC Team. Coaches, please let your parents know that they may stand behind the teams and to the sides while the Award Ceremony is going on.

4:55 pm 7th Grade Boys
5:20 pm 8th Grade Girls
5:45 pm 8th Grade Boys
6:10 pm 7th Grade Open (Unlimited)
6:35 pm 8th Grade Open (Unlimited)
The Coaches Meeting will take place by the Hospitality Station at 3:45pm following the Meet Workers Meeting at 3:30pm.
Coaches, the Meet Results will be emailed to you on Monday Morning, October 21st after the Meet. Results will contain all Athletes names and times will be posted on the Score Printout and Excel document sent out to you with the Team Places as well. Again, I want to thank you, and I appreciate your Support this 2019 XC Season Until next year under a different director, I will see you all on Friday, October 18th at Bear Branch Sports Complex in the Woodlands!
