Four different countries will have Red Raider competing with the Australia, Bahamas, Puerto Rico and the United States of America all being represented.Both the U.S. Outdoor Track and Field Championships and U.S. Junior Outdoor Championships will be held on June 23-27, in Des Moines, Iowa at Drake Stadium.Three-time All-American Terra Evans is headed to the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships to run in the 100M. She has a season-best wind-aided time of 11.19. Terra's sister Taylor Evans has a season best of 52.63 in the 400M and qualified for the women's 400M.Freshman Bryce Lamb will look to extend his season in the long jump at the US National Champs. He has the fifth best jump of the qualifiers with a mark of 26'-8.50" (8.14M) that he jumped at the Big 12 Indoor Championships.Two others will be competing in Des Moines, Iowa, but will do so at the USA Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The two will be Candace Jackson and Shade Weygandt.Jackson will run in the 100M and 200M with season-best times of 11.57 and 23.60 respectively. She earned two All-American honors in the 4x100M and 4x400M relay.Weygandt is the female pole vault All-American in Tech history and has a season-best and school record mark of 14'-2.75" (4.34M). She has the best mark of the entries and has experience as she was a member of the 2009 U.S Junior team. Other current student-athletes for Tech competing for their respective countries are Jamele Mason (Puerto Rico), LaToy Williams (Bahamas) and Julian Wruck (Australia).Mason will run the 400M hurdles and has a season best of 49.97. He was named an All-American in the event at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. He has already qualified as a member of the Puerto Rico national team and will run at the CAC games on July 26-27.LaToy Williams was on the Bahamian 2009 World Championship team as a 4x400M relay member and will run in the Bahamas this summer.The other Red Raider is Julian Wruck who will throw the discus for Australia. He has already been selected to compete at the Moncton World Junior Championships for Australia.Former Tech track athletes will be competing over the summer as well. Jason Young is currently a strength and conditioning coach at Tech and has the second-best mark in the discus with a mark of 229'-4" (69.90M). He will compete at the US Outdoor Championships.Former three time All-American Tori Polk will compete at the US Outdoor Championships in the long jump. She was All-American in the event in 2005.L. Williams will have former Red Raiders Andrae Williams and Mike Mathieu to run with as both will be running for the Bahamas most likely in the 400M or 4x400M relay.Shereefa Lloyd was a three time All-American at Tech is probable to run in Jamaica. She was on the Jamaican bronze medalist 4x400M relay during the 2008 Summer Olympics.
