Kamryn Dyck a sophomore from Loop came in with the fastest time from regionals with a time of 12.44 and also the reigning gold medalist in this event.

It was a clean start and they were off and running pretty evenly across the line with Dyck turning on the jets to smoke the rest of the field and cross the line first with a time of 12.48. Aubrey Ford a senior from Vernon Northside had a great lean at the line and won the silver with a time of 12.76 with Taylor Jeffrey a senior from Roby captured the bronze with a time of 12.79.

1A Girls 400m

In lane five it was Trinity Schlueter a junior at Turkey Valley had the fastest time from regionals with a time of 58.98.

It was a good start for the field with Schlueter gaining the early lead, but Danni Ruiz a freshman from Menard in lane four was close behind making up the stagger and coming off her victory in the 800m.

Coming off the turn it was Schlueter and Ruiz running side by side, neither willing to concede. Both put on that final kick in the last fifty meters, but it was Ruiz falling across the line three second ahead with a time of 57.87 and outlasted Schlueter who captured the silver with a time of 57.90 and coming in third place was Hailee Garmer a senior from Roby that ran a great race and finished with a time of 59.39.
