In the discus it seemed like Texas duo couldn't find their rhythm. Gabe Oladipo landed his 1st throw, but after a foul on his following 2 throws was unable to move on to the final selection. Oladipo finished 9th with a 55.98m.
Adrian Piperi appeared to be in similar difficulty all competition. Moving on after throwing a 1.5kg PR of 58.81m, out throwing his season best by .01m on his 2nd throw. After moving on with the final 8, he fouled on his next 4 throws. Still impressive to finish 6th place at a World Championship event with just one throw, and he can obviously still leave Colombia very happy with his Shot Put gold!
