Cheyenne Walden is a 3 time Oklahoma State Champion. Last spring she won the OSSAA 5A-6A State Track Championship 3200m running 11:08. Her other two state championships come from the XC course. Walden was the 4A-6A State Cross Country Champion in 2014, and the 5A-6A State Cross Country Champion this year. This was the juniors first year competing at NXN South. She placed 6th to make the trip to Portland. For the past two years the seniors only 5k cross country loss has come from NXN South and this years Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival where she placed 2nd. She will look to represent the South region, and for the first time since 2012 (on the girls side) Oklahoma well in Portland.
