Daniel Bernal (El Paso Eastwood - 2017)
Bernal was undefeated all season up until the state meet. He had wins over some big names including David Strome, and Reed Brown. A few of his wins included the Rudy Alvarez Invite, Canutillo Invitational, Desert Twilight XC Festival and the Region 1 meet. At state the El Paso Eastwood junior had his worst state meet appearance ever finishing 74th. He rebounded in a huge way finishing 5th at NXN South and 36th at NXN. His 36th palace finish at NXN made him the 2nd fastest Texas finisher on the day.
