Williams is an absolute stud and had an outstanding 2017-208 season. He qualified for the UIL 6A state cross country meet for the second year in a row. The difference is that the season was that he ran fast the for the entire season with four sub 16 races. He topped out with a PR a 15:35.20 5K and a 37th place finish at state.
That alone is good enough to rate him one of the top runners coming into the season, but his track season coupled with his cross success is what's optimistic about his upcoming season. He dropped some gem races up and down the distance spectrum by going 1:48.21, 4:19.56, and 9:35.1 and placing ninth in the 1600m at state.
This cross season will be big time for Williams and should see him finally run away with a medal from the state meet.
