FULL MEET INFORMATION HERELocation:Gilliam Indoor Track and Field Stadium at the McFerrin Athletic Center171 Wellborn Rd, College Station, TX, 77840ENTRY DEADLINE:12:00pm on Tuesday, January 5, 2016ENTRY GUIDE LINES:This is strictly a meet for high school athletes. Athletes must be currently enrolled ingrades 9, 10, 11 or 12 only. High School athletes meeting this criteria do not have torepresent their high school team; they may compete as an Unattached athlete or partof a club team.ENTRY FEE:1. Entry fees are $20 per athlete per event and $30 per relay.2. All entries must be done online through Direct Athletics. Coachs wristbands can bepurchased in advance on Direct Athletics for $25, or in person at the meet for $35.3. Coachs wristbands will grant access to the warm-up facility and athlete seating in thecompetition venue. A maximum of 4 coachs wristbands may be purchased per team pergender.4. Late entries will not be accepted.Note: Entry fees cover the cost of timing crew, officials, trainers, awards, t-shirts andfacilities use.ENTRY PROCEDURE: Purchase entries online through Direct Athletics. Please see the attached document withentry procedures.PACKET PICK-UP:The location for packet pick-up this year has yet to be determined. Please bring yourregistration receipt from Direct Athletics. Wristbands will be provided for all competing athletes. Coachs wristbands purchased online will also be provided. Please see ENTRY FEESregarding the purchase of Coachs wristbands. Coachs wristbands may not be used withchildren. NO children will be allowed in the warm-up area at any time. Athlete and coaches may sit in General Admission or in the bleachers on the west wallnext to the shot ringTIMING:The meet will be timed by Flash ResultsPREFERRED LANES:Straight Sprint Races 4-5-3-6-2-7-1-8 Oval Sprint Races 5-6-4-3-(2-1) Oval Distance Races RandomSEEDING:All running events will be seeded and lanes drawn according to times submitted. No changeswill be made at the meet.ADVANCEMENT PROCEDURE: Running Events: 60m/60 Hurdles: Top 16 times from prelim rounds will advance to final rounds 200m/400m: Top 12 times from prelim rounds will advance to final rounds All other running events: Contested in sections against time Field Events: Top 9 competitors from the prelim rounds will advance to the final roundMEET RULES: No headphones or personal sound system (mp3, ipod etc) will be allowed in the IndoorTrack or the warm-up facility. No athletes are allowed in the Coaching Areas Athletes will be disqualified if caught in unapproved spikes.SPIKES: YOU WILL NOT RUN IF YOU DO NOT COMPLY WITH THIS RULE The only spike pin allowed for our facility is the pyramid spike from MF Athletics,800-693-6052, Item # 463A Pyramid Spikes. The Omni-Lite spike is NOT ALLOWED. The spike measures longer than thePyramid Spike we allow. The use of 1/4 pyramid spikes will be strictly enforced. NO NEEDLE SPIKES OR CHRISTMAS TREE SPIKES ALLOWED. No permanent spike shoes allowed. Shoes will be checked at last call in the Clerk Area and prior to getting on the track. Chalk and cones are not permitted.OPENING HEIGHTS:Opening heights in pole vault and high jump will be determined by meet management basedon entry marks.POLE VAULT CERTIFICATION:Pole vaulters must weigh-in and inspect poles at check-in in the warm-up area in the presenceof his/her coach and the head official. National Federation Track and Field Rules state thatcompetitors weight shall be at or below the manufacturers pole rating. A competitor shallnot use a variable weight pole, a pole which is improperly marked or a pole rated belowhis/her weight during warm-up or competition.WEIGH-IN:The implement room is located under the stands though the Northwest portal, Room #102.Implements can be checked in 2 hours prior to the start of the days competitions and up to45 minutes prior to the event. The implement room will be closed 45 minutes after thecompletion of the last throwing event of the day. ONLY INDOOR SHOT PUTS WILL BEALLOWED.FACILITY AVAILABILITY:The McFerrin Athletic Center Indoor Track and the Indoor Football Facility will be availablefor teams on: Friday, January 8 Track CLOSED for warm-up 3:00pm Indoor Football Facility open for warm-up andpacket pickup Saturday, January 9 Track CLOSED for warm-up 8:00am Indoor Football Facility open for warm-up andpacket pickupCOMPETITION WARM-UP AND ATHLETE CHECK-IN: No warming up will be allowed on the track. Warm-up is available in the Indoor Football Facility only Running Events: Report to the clerk ready to run when your event is called. Field Events: Athletes must check-in at the clerking area. Flights will be escorted to theevent site on the following schedule: Shot Put, Long Jump, and Triple Jump competitors will be allowed at competition venue35 minutes prior to start of the competition. The final 15 minutes will be reserved forcompetition in the first flight. The remaining flights competitors will return to thewarm-up area. A report call for the next flight will be given at the conclusion of the firstround of the flight in progress. At the conclusion of the second round of the flight inprogress competitors of the next flight will be escorted to the competition venue. High Jump competitors will be allowed at competition venue 45 minutes prior to the startof the competition. Pole Vault competitors will be allowed at competition venue 75 minutes prior to the startof competition. Final results will be posted on our websitefollowing the completion of the meet.COACHING AREAS:Will be designated and monitored. No Athletes allowed in coaching areas.EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES:Will be provided onsite.DRESSING/SHOWER FACILITIES:Not AvailablePARKING:Parking for the 2016 Indoor Season has yet to be determined.
