Alex Loving had himself a day at the AAU Region 18 Qualifier in Burleson, Texas from June 29-July 2. He ran 11.48 in the 100m, finishing sixth, and then won the long jump with an impressive 24 foot, 0.5 inch leap. Loving's mark makes him the new US No. 1 in the long jump in the boys 17-18 division at the club level. That jump would have given him a top 20 mark nationally over the high school season and stands as a nearly two-inch PR. More from AAU Region 18:ResultsVideosArticles
