On Saturday, November 8, 2008 the Horns attended the UIL Region III Championships. The Horns had their work cut out for them with several teams making a run for just 3 spots. Yesterday's meet at Lufkin High School marked the end of our regular season. It is now time to begin preparation for district, regionals, and state. The Horns had a good showing bringing home a first place team plaque in the varsity boys 3A and under division. About Our Team
At Tarkington ISD, Cross Country is a long time honored tradition. We base our program on respect, self determination, and good 'ol fashion hard work. Every day we strive for self improvement in a team setting and each individuals accomplishments are important to us all. The team is very close knit and meet days couldn't be more entertaining. We are looking forward to a great season and hopefully one that goes well into November.
