This was an off-week for most of the collegiate programs. University of New Mexico hosted the Lobo Invitational and University of Washington hosted the Husky Invitational. In prep indoor news Duncan Phillips won the boys mile at Boston in 4:09 and Jillian Rosen ran 5:00. Great job representing Texas.

 We go out west for the Husky Invitational.

Texas Teams Attedning: Baylor University, Texas Tech, University of Texas-San Antonio

Great performances by Texas Athletes. Baylor continued to impress this year. Carla Grace (BAY) ran 24.25 for the 200m. Her teammate, Tiana Hood (BAY), also ran well in 24.62. The Bedell sisters continued a stellar indoor season. Lyndsy Bedell (BAY) ran a 16:37 for the 5000m and Erin Bedell (BAY) ran a 9:20.43 3000m. In that same 3000m race two Texas Tech runners ran well, Sally Kipyego (TTECH) in 8:56.72 and Irene Kimaiyo (TTECH) in 9:12.75. Baylor's DMR ran a nation leading 11:10.71.

On the Men's side Baylor continued to dominate the sprints. Led by JT Scheuerman (BAY) 21.76/46.80 double. 2006 Texas State Champ LaJerald Betters (BAY) also ran well in 46.80. The 800m was a great race also as Larry Brooks (UTSA) ran 1:49.62 followed by Zach Glavash (TTECH) in 1:49.91.

Ebonie Floyd (UHOUS) continued to run fast with a 7.35/23.44 double. Dayo Ogunniyi (UHOUS) soared to 19-03 in the Long Jump. Patience Knight (TTECH) went to 49-01 in the Shot. In the Men's races Termaine Smith (UHOUS) ran a 21.59 for the 200m. Kolee Latson (UHOUS) won the 400m in 48.24. Marlon Odom (TTECH) continued to ran the hurdles great with a 7.89 victory. Bobby Evers (TTECH) went 24-04 in the Long Jump and Chris Ashcraft (TTECH) went 17-0 in the Pole Vault.
