Eight Top Girls Teams to Compete at Jesuit

Meet Notes: Girls

For the first time in the 50 year history of the Jesuit-Sheaner Relays, Girls teams have been invited to the meet. Eight of the State's top girl track teams have been invited to the meet and are entered in the 50th Anniversary of the Jesuit-Sheaner Relays.

Team Favorites

Entered are UIL 5A State Meet Champions DeSoto, Runner-up Garland and 5th place Cedar Hill;   3A State Meet GIRLS Team Champion Frisco Lone Star.  4AFrisco Heritage and Forney Girl teams finished in the top ten teams in the 2013 State Meet
 

Individual Favorites:

Justin Northwest's  pole vaulter, Desiree Freier, a High school All American girls pole vaulter will be trying to set a new national record in the girl pole vault. She is only a few inches away from the national record.

Long Distance

The "Elite Girls 1600 Meter race" again, will have the top girl distance runners in the state entered.

Hurdles

Two event State Meet champion Kiana Hawn, 4A Forney High school, will challenge the top 5A girls for first place medals

Field Events:

Two event TAPPS State Meet Champion and area leader Christina Harris, Bishop Lynch, will challenge the top 5A girls for first place medals

Relays

5A State Meet relay teams: 2nd place team DeSoto, 4th place team Cedar Hill and 5th place team Skyline and 2nd place 3A UIL State Meet finisher Frisco Lone Star are entered in the 4x100. That is a lot of speed.
