No doubt the highlight of this meet was Pflugerville star Marcus McWilliams, who has run his way onto the national scene in the past few weeks. He pulled off the District Champ hat trick with a 110H(13.76) | 300H(37.64-US #16) | TJ (46'4"-PR). He also placed 4th in the LJ in 22'9.5".
After getting her season on the right track at Texas Relays, Maddie Boreman keeps her sub-5 streak alive running 4:59.75 to easily win the 1600m. Watch out for her in the comings weeks. She'll be looking to push that 4:50 mark and make another run at the state title. She also easily won the 3200m in a new season best 11:08.
Pflugerville Hendrickson boys swept the sprint relays, winning the 4x100m in 42.05 & then posting a 1:75.75 in the 4x200m.
In the boys 3200m, we saw rising star Danny Viegra pull out the win over Caleb Hollifield in 9:25 to 9:31. Viegra jumps up the state rankings to TX #10.
A great battle in the 400m saw the Top 2 athletes make a big move up the state rankings. Madison Gibson was able to edge out Gracen Odendahl in 57.13 to 57.25.
Terry Brown - 49.36 - just beat out his teammate Chauncee Holston - 49.97 - in the 400m. The Round Rock depth on disply in the race and in the 4x400m as they dominated the field by 5 second in 3:18.
