Just like in the girls competition, both of the athletes to make the Pan Am team are from Texas! Coming off an outdoor season where he wasn't quite clearing the heights we saw indoors, Paulo Benavides is back! He finished 2nd in a new US #1 17'10.5"! On his final attempt over 18', he got over the bar, but just couldn't come down clean. Next up we'll see what he can do in Canada at the Pan Am games!
