On-site Coverage at the Games of Texas

Texas MileSplit will be providing on-site coverage this week from the Games of Texas being held in College Station, Texas. We'll be shooting race videos, grabbing interviews and snapping photos from all 4 days of competition. Boys

In the boys 18 and under 100m dash there are 7 guys who are seeded under 11 seconds. Based on seed times, Daug Track's TJ Stucky leads the field with a 10.52; however, UIL state champion Devin Duvernay of Garland has a PR of 10.27 ( he is seeded 3rd at 10.92 from when he won the TAAF region 7 meet).

The boys 18 and under 400m dash is led by Wil London who is competing for the City of Waco. Wil comes into the meet with a seed time of 46.33 which is .62 seconds under meet record ( 46.95 set in 2005 by LeJerald Betters of Waco). Wil is also the top seed in the 200m dash with a seed time of 21.26.

In the boys 18 and under 4x100m, Garland appears to be the clear favorite with a seed time of 40.64; however, City of Waco comes in with a seed time of 41.02. They'll be looking to dip under that 41 second barrier to challenge Garland.

Girls

The Girls 18 and under 400m dash field is led by Sarah Horan from the City of Mckinney. She enters the meet with a seed time of 57.77. Lindsey Simpson of Team Xtreme will be looking to challenge Sarah with her seed of 57.94.

Sprinters track club leads the girls 4x100m with a seed time of 46.39. Their seed time is more than a second faster than the next seed and .42 seconds ahead of the meet record.

Another event in the girls 18 and under division that sticks out is the 100 hurdles. Denishya Simmons of Dash Track Club comes into the meet with a seed of 13.80. That's more than 2 seconds faster than the next girl, and more than half a under the record.
