Morgan Stewart had the best track day of her career during the Saturday finals at the Victor Lopez Classic! After saying she wanted a 2:10 in the 800m final, Stewart took out the first quarter in 61s and extended her gap on the field to finish in a US #2 2:09.6! Keep in mind that this is even more impressive considering that only three Texas girls broke 2:10 in the entire 2015 season!
After that 800m effort, Stewart hit the track with just a minimal break in between for the 400m final. Proving she has leg speed as well as the endurance to pull of the difficult double, Stewart ran her 2nd PR of the day and another US Top-10 time in 54.66!
