Boys 100m

At day 3 of the AAU Region 17 Championships, the 17-18 year old boys showed that speed is king.  You had to run 10.xx to make the final.  Any miscalculations or minor errors could cost you big time.  The kings of the hill this day were Jeffrey Hulon of the B.T. Striders and Myles Lafleur from Prototype with their 10.62 and 10.67.  Vision's Kaleb Campbell had the third fastest qualifying time.  All of these top three from the prelims will return next season for their senior year.

In the Girls 100m, the 17-18 year old ladies also put the burners on.  Neither Milan Young of My Stars or Essance Sample of Track Houston are strangers to the big stage as they both have performed well at the State meet. Both ladies dipped under 12.0 leading the rest of the field heading into tomorrow's finals.
