Cruz Gomez is only going to be a sophomore this year, but after last year you would have thought the was much older. He ran a 4:23.14 for the 1600m and a super fast 9:19.56 in the 3200m. No doubt Gomez is coming into this season looking for fast times all around.  His season best last year was a 15:36.00, which he ran at the McNeil Invitational, and placed 1st in the 6A race as only a freshman. Another notable race for him was his 13th place finish at the State Championship.
