#9: Abbey Santoro - Keller
Only a junior, Abbey Santoro, is coming into the preseason rankings at number nine. Coming from an awesome outdoor season, where she ran consistently low eleven minutes in the 3200m and low-five minutes for 1600m. Each season Santoro continues to improve, and so this season shouldn't be any different. She placed 1st at the 6A- District 5 meet, and most impressively, she placed 3rd at the Texas State Cross Country Meet as only a sophomore! This season Santoro returns as one of the best runners in the state looking to challenge for a podium finish this year as well. She will make a big impact on the relatively young Keller squad who has big goals this year.
