Texas Mile Split will be in The Woodlands to provide coverage for the Friday Night Lights meet. The meet will be an early season showcase for many Houston area teams. Teams like last year's 6A qualifying team Conroe Oak Ridge, Katy Cinco Ranch, and The Woodlands will battle with other area top teams like Houston St. John's, Houston Bellaire, and Galena Park Northshore. There are also several teams from outside of Houston and around the nation who will be looking to get in a good and competitive run. Austin Bowie, Austin Westlake, Austin Lake Travis, Round Rock McNeil, and Cedar Park are all Austin area teams looking to showcase their early season fitness. Corpus Christi Incarnate Word, Giddings, San Antonio Christian, and Woodville will also be looking to compete. Lutheran South from St. Louis, MO and Montgomery Academy from Montgomery, AL will be coming to get some Texas action.
