There is a new team in town. Katy Seven Lakes moves to 5A this year and has all the talent to take the region title. They are lead by the 3 horsemen (Welin, Jesseet, Rathke). All 3 had stellar track seasons and if injury free should be leading the race just like the photo on the left. James Webb has a great chance to shake things up in the region. He really shined during track season with 4:16/9:23. The team competition should be interesting for the 2-3 spot with Cinco Ranch looking for another bid to the state meet in Round Rock. A team that I don't have much information on is Kingwood. The legendary program is not in the top 5 returning teams listed but be assured they will reload and make another run for state.
