Bailey Goggans gets ready for the start of a race at the Burnet Bulldog Relays
Girls Poll Winner
Marble Falls freshman Bailey Goggans has only ran a couple of meets, but boy has she made them count! She has quickly left a mark on Texas high school track and field and who really knows how much more she has to give.
Goggans showed up for the indoor season, ran fast and then went away. It wasn't until last week that she peeked her head back out -- or should I say exploded out.
She ran what was at the time a US #2 2:11.62 800m and then followed that up with a TX #5 56.14 in the 400m.
Just when you'd think her winning margin couldn't get any bigger, Goggans won the girls poll with 93.48% of the vote in the girls poll.

Nicholas Hillier competes in the pole vault at the 2016 Texas A&M Indoor meet
Boys Poll Winner
Angleton senior Nicholas Hillier won a much closer poll. He received 44.49% of the vote for his 15-7 pole vault performance.
Over the last two years, Hillier has won the majority of his competitions and if he didn't win he was usually coming in second place.
He is vaulting at a very high level this year. Last year, he only had two vaults 15-0 and over on the entire season. This year, although it is still young, he hasn't gone under 15-0 yet while racking up more than last year already with all four competitions over 15-0 feet.
