It was another gigantic weekend in Texas and the performances reflect just that. There is no doubt the season is in full swing and athletes and teams are showing just what we have all been waiting for.
It is now time to get into the Performers of the Week (POW), but before we do that, let's give recognition to last week's winners.
Aubrey O'Connell - Prosper
Prosper freshman Aubrey O'Connell won last week's poll as her 11:19.40 2 mile performance helped earn her 58.75% of the vote as she managed to receive 6,321 total votes.
Nathan Perez - San Antonio Warren
San Antonio Warren senior Nathan Perez won last week's poll based off of his 15:41 5K win at the Cedar Park Vista Ridge Inv. That earned him 56.49% of the vote with 2,332 total votes.
Team Winners for last week's poll were Coppell and Round Rock.
The Coppell girls won the Friday Night Lights meet agains some very good competition. The showed in that 4K race that they could live up to their preseason ranking.
The Round Rock boys won off the heels of their dominating performance at the Vista Ridge Inv.
