This may just be the best edition of the Clear Falls Invitation in it's history. It will have one of the best boys teams in the state with the Kingwood Mustangs. When you look at the list of teams, you might initially think that Kingwood will run straight through the competition. However, Kingwood is still trying to get to full strength with their health issues.
Last week was their first meet running their top seven runners. However, they found that things are still a work in progress with their health and fitness.
With that said, the talent at the meet is not soft. The teams there will be looking to take down the Kingwood squad. With runners like Texas' top dawg Ryan Schoppe from La Porte, we will get another look at the upcoming Region 3-6A showdown.
On the girls side, things will once again start with Kingwood. Last weekend, the Lady Mustangs narrowly missed out on a win at their home meet by a single point. They showed just how strong and tight their 1-4 is. Although they got a good look at Katy last week, they could still get a challenge from the Tigers as Audrey Witham will definitely be in the front pack of the race.

A meet bonus for the meet will be Thomas Valle and Johnny Samaniego from McFarland, California (from the Disney movie McFarland USA). They will be the official starters for the varsity races.
First race will start at 8:00AM. We will be on a rolling schedule for the remaining races.
