Autumn Wilson
St. Dominic Savio Catholic has a load of freshman athletes who have been setting the state on fire since the indoor season.
Wilson is one of those freshmen and her first TAPPS state meet should be one of a kind. She has TAPPS' top marks on the season in both the 100m (11.78) and the 200m (24.15).
Hali Murphy
As previously mentioned, St. Dominic Savio Catholic has some good youngsters and Murphy is another of their outstanding Class of 2022 athletes.
Murphy has made an impact from the 100m to the 400m. Her 55.87 leads all TAPPS girls in the 400m and could be where she wins her first title.
Leah Klenke
Houston St Agnes has an outstanding freshman of their own. Klenke checks in as the top TAPPS 800m runner heading into this weekend. Her 2:17.55 puts her in a good position to win and make it possible for a freshman to win a state title.
Ellie Catron
The Woodlands Christian distance star is having another good season. She has been winning races left and right and is on a hot streak.
At the 2018 TAPPS state meet, Catron won both the 1600m and the 3200m and with some very good times. She dropped a 10:58.71 and a 5:11.50 for those wins.
Tamia Badal
If the youngsters start having a good meet and getting on a roll, Tomball Concordia Lutheran senior could put a hold on that.
Badal was second in both hurdle events at last season's state meet and this season she has done nothing short but let the state know she plans on turning things up a notch this weekend. Badal enters the weekend as with a 13.74 (100H) and 42.81(300H).
Maddi White
Dallas Bishop Lynch sophomore high jumper is one of Texas' best leapers. She enters as TAPPS' top high jumper with her 5-6 SB.
White as a PR of 5-7 and already has a TAPPS state championship, this weekend, she could make it number two.
Brynn King
King missed last season at Tomball Concordia Lutheran and couldn't compete for a state title. She had an ACL injury that cost her junior season.
She has returned as motivated as ever and showing no signs that the injury has slowed her down. Prior to the injury, King won the 2016 TAPPS long jump state title and was fourth in the 200m. Now she is one of the top pole vaulter in the country with her 13-0 PR.
