Allen senior Dakota Jackson is having a heck of an indoor season. He entered the 2020 season with PRs of 7.06 and 23.10 for the indoor sprints.
The 60m mark has been blown out of the water this season. Jackson went 6.93 in the prelims and then 6.82 in the finals at the Texas A&M High School Indoor Classic.
Those races were just the beginning of things to come. This weekend at the Oklahoma HS Invitational #2, Jackson went 6.87 to get his motion back before heading into the outdoor season.
What will that equate to this upcoming outdoor season for Jackson? He could be in for an outstanding outdoor track and field season. He is currently tied for US No. 12 in the 60m with just three races under his belt.
Jackson gets his outdoor running underway next weekend, let's see how he starts off the season. His outdoor PRs at the start of this season are 10.70 in the 100m and 22.14 in the 200m. Those could be long gone in no time.
