The 400 Hurdles is a tough event, one of the toughest in the sport of track and field. There are a lot of key traits it takes to qualify to become an elite 400 meter hurdler.

Proof of that is by the names and times on this list. Many of the athletes listed were not only some of the top in the state but also nationally. Several of them went on to run extremely well in the NCAA, professionally (Track and Field and Football), and some have even earned Olympic medals.
