Emme ODonnell-Port Lavaca Calhoun
Port Lavaca Calhoun senior ODonnell has been a state meet qualifier since her freshman year when she went in the 3200m in track.
She followed that up the next year by going in cross country and then both the 1600m and 3200m in track. Her big breakthrough came last fall at the UIL 5A cross country state championships when she medaled by finishing sixth with a 17:45.17 PR.
With that time and nothing but big time races all year long, look for ODonnell to make up for the loss of her track season; she is a big talent and could push for a 5A state title.
