Coach McLain's El Paso Eastwood teams have been national ranked teams over the last two seasons. They have won two consecutive UIL 5A state cross country championships and are now back in the 6A classification.
Eastwood finished third in the 6A class the last season they were in the classification back in 2017. Now that they are back, they will try to push to get back on the podium this season.
The Troopers finished second at the Region 1-6A Championships last week. By the way, Eastwood has a girl qualifier who could potential finish in the top 10 with Lauren Walls-Portillo.
