Marisa Gwinner Wins Season Opener, Outlines 2021 Goals

Marisa Gwinner launched her 2021 indoor season successfully on Friday at her home invite, the Tiffin Dragons College Open

Gwinner, a junior, cleared 1.77m to capture first place honors in the high jump and concluded her event with solid attempts at the 1.83m benchmark, a height that would have represented a personal best effort and a school record.

The 2018 Galion graduate and 2019 NCAA Division 2 outdoor national champion in the HJ debriefed with MileSplit Ohio about her first taste of live competition since last February, her goals for the 2021 indoor campaign and what coaches and teammates from her high school days helped to prepare her for collegiate competition.
