Katy Seven Lakes junior Haley Tate was one of the top performing juniors in 2021. Tate ran 12.07, 24.6, and 52.97 (US No. 4) to finish second at the UIL 6A 400m.


The junior class was full of blazing fast girls int the sprints and hurdles in 2021. Several girls qualified to their state championships, some medaled, and some even won their state meets.

In the 100m event, Austin St. Dominic Savio Catholic sprinter Autumn Wilson led the junior class in all conditions marks with her 11.29. There were 18 girls to run sub 12 this season in all condition races; Wilson won the TAPPS 6A state championships.

In the 200m, Christine Mallard of Mansfield Legacy and Camryn Dickson of Clear Brook who were close behind Wilson in the 100m joined her at the top of the 200m rankings. Mallard led the junior classs in 23.22 with Dickson right behind her in 23.28, followed by Wilson. The three led seven girls in the class under 24.0.
