MileSplit TX has learned that Grapevine senior Walker St. John has verbally committed to the University of North Carolina.
The current TX No. 3 ranked 5,000m boys runner is in the midst of defending his individual and team championships from last year and now has a load lifted from his band with following his recent announcement.
Following a COVID junior track season that was cut short St. John had a phenomenal return to competing by contributing to the team win last fall as well as the UIL 5A individual title. St. John also added the 2021 1,600m track and field championship to his resume last spring.
