Houston St. John's distance runner Emmanuel Sgouros has verbally committed to the University of Texas, per his instagram account.
The SPC star improved to a new and higher level last cross country and track season ascending to becoming one of the top runners in the state of Texas. Things were challenging last season as the SPC cancelled cross country season due to COVID.
Sgouros still trained and continued to excel and he even traveled to both cross country and track meets across the country to compete.
This season, he continued to travel throughout the fall. However, his travelling was due to being rewarded with recruiting visits to some of the top collegiate distance programs across the country.
