Belton senior Jones had a heck of a season. She was clutch in the sprints and in the horizontal jumps.

Jones won the UIL 6A state meet in the long jump with her 21-3.50 mark. That is the US No. 1 ranked jump, her second meet over 20-6, and it made the Texas Relays the only meet she did not win during the 2022 season.

Jones also excelled in the triple jump with three jumps over 40 feet and had a 41-9 SB at state for a fourth place finish.

Despite not qualifying for state in the 100m and 200m, she did have 11.61 and 23.86 PRs, which make her a serious candidate for POY.
